A SLIVER of moon shone over London in a cloudless sky. The cool evening had slid down to a perfect temperature for an outside venue. Reno leaned back in the limo seat and stared out the window. It was only a matter of time before you came around.” He wet his lips. “I’ve watched you. Do you remember that night we partied and I fucked a girl in my hotel room? Your fucking eyes locked on my ass—you want me.” He squeezed Reno’s leg and leaned closer. “Why didn’t you come to me when you had an itch to taste cock? I’m your friend, always have been, not fucking Tanner Star.”

Lenny had arms like a wrestler. His strong fingers dug painfully into Reno’s flesh. Grinding his teeth, Reno clenched his fists. One punch, just one damn punch, and he’d knock the stupid grin off Lenny’s face. He brought back his arm. The movement tightened the chain from neck to balls. Bad move. Shit.

He glared at Lenny. “Look, man, you told me you were straight, and anyway, it’s too late. I’m with Tanner now.” He forced his fists to relax. “There’s nothing you can do. Fighting with Tanner won’t make any difference. It’s not a good vibe having all this hostility in the band.
